Hello, my name is Nia Lovemore, a gothic dark fantasy illustrator based in Lawrence, Kansas. I am a traditional artist who works primarily in colored pencil on paper. 

My work is a love letter to the gothic subculture and fantasy genres. My illustrations frequently feature Black women as fantasy heroines, personifying resilience, heroism, mystery, pain, magic, faith and the other complex beauties of the human experiences. Some repeated motifs you can find in my work includes: hearts, corsets, skulls, coffins, vampires, swords, butterflies, guitars and more. 

Stylistically, my work is heavily inspired by 90s and early 2000s gothic comics, fashion and music. I am also inspired by Heavy Metal Magazine, 1970-1980s metal album art, old Magic: the Gathering cards, and manga. Some of favorite artists are yami Kojima of Castlevania, Frank Frazetta and Anne StokeAs. I am very inspired by many video games, including titles like: Devil May Cry 3, Bloodrayne, Bloodborne, Alice: Madness Returns and Bayonetta. 

At my table, you can find prints, stickers, apparel and wearables, comics and other stationary and crafts. All my art is original art and original concepts, no fan art, i own all copywrite because I created it.

I also have Dark Love Mail Club, a monthly dark fantasy art subscription where collectors around the world receive my art delievered to their mailboxes. I pride myse4lf on creating an inviting, immersive booth experience in hopes of drawing in my fellow goths, the romantics, lovers of dark fantasy, horror and action fans.
